Food artist Nathan Wyburn, 24, created four portraits of this year's MasterChef finalists out of materials including whisky, berries and honey.
Wyburn captured the faces of finalists Ping, Angela, Jack and Luke in the series of works which will be displayed tonight at The Singleton whisky night market on London's Southbank, dedicated to showcasing some of Britain's best food and drink talent.
Wyburn's work coincides with the release of two new single malt whiskies from Singleton: Tailfire and Sunray. The former has a vibrant character which comes from maturation in a higher proportion of European oak casks specially selected to enhance the juicy red berry freshness and sweet aromas of vanilla and fresh cut grass.
The intense Sunray's flavour comes from maturation in a higher proportion of toasted Bourbon casks chosen to deliver a honeyed, vanilla sweetness with aromas of blackcurrant and baked apple.
Wyburn's artwork includes finalists Jack Lucas, 22, a student from Solihull; Ping Coombes, 33, a full-time mum from Bath; Luke Owen, 31, a robotics company sales engineer; and Angela Langford, 43, director and owner of an organic skincare company.
